Job Summary  
The Performance Insights team is looking for a Director of Base Management Insights & Strategy. This is a key leadership position on the team, reporting directly to the VP of Performance Insights and leading a team of 3 FTE. The team is focused on optimizing the effectiveness of Comcast’s direct marketing campaigns to their existing customer base through the development of campaign test plans and performance tracking and insights. This will be a highly collaborative consultative role working with teams across Marketing, Finance, Business Intelligence and Technology.


This position requires a combination of focus and flexibility, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in analytics, statistics and testing; a strong understanding of marketing processes and technologies; and the ability to summarize large amounts of data into consumable insights and readouts for an executive audience. In this role, the Director will need to keep pace with the day-to-day execution of marketing campaigns while also continuing to drive longer-term marketing strategy and omnichannel 1:1 personalization. The ideal candidate will be an experienced people leader with a passion for developing high performing teams and maintaining a fun and inclusive culture.

This role is located in our Philadelphia, PA office. Employees are expected to be in-office four days per week with one day dedicated to work-from home.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Become a subject matter expert in Comcast’s marketing and service communication strategy and operations to continue to help drive our omnichannel 1:1 communication strategy  
  • Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to develop end to end iterative test plans (with KPIs) to drive long-term personalization, especially in AI/ML space 
  • Develop standardized performance tracking to assess the business impact of various campaigns. Translate detailed results into summarized insights for executive audiences  
  • Collaborate with partners throughout Comcast to synthesize various reports into a single source of truth. 
  • Develop and lead a high performing team. Foster a positive team environment and culture to keep team members highly motivated and engaged 
  • Foster relationships with Business Intelligence, Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to understand their roadmaps to proactively look for potential testing opportunities. 
  • Stay appraised on new analytical techniques to promote best practices within the team  
  • Work with stakeholders to manage the team’s backlog and prioritize appropriately given business priorities and resources  
  • Standardize work into recurring processes where appropriate to increase team efficiency 
  • Collaborate with Marketing Technology to develop use cases and requirements on needed enhancements to advance reporting capabilities 
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. 
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Qualifications 

  • Strong background in Marketing test and learn, marketing strategies and processes.   
  • Extensive experience in data focused roles. Strong background in analysis, data modeling and mining. SQL experience preferred  
  • Experience with leading teams. Passion for building positive team culture.  
  • Understanding of statistics and Data Science modelling techniques. 
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, “Be Curious. 
  • Possess a balance of general business knowledge, analytical acumen, and presentation skills; “tell the story.” 
  • Ability to find opportunities to enhance processes and drive results.

Educational Level 

Required - Bachelor's Degree 

Preferred - MBA, or MA/MS degree in a quantitative discipline 

Experience 

10-12 years of relevant work experience
