Position Purpose: Manage all aspects of vendor activity, including but not limited to vendor compliance, engagement, oversight and performance.

  • Lead the direct management of vendors supporting Centene members
  • Ensure operation integrity, including compliance with all policies and procedures for the Health Plan
  • Oversee vendor performance and compliance, and Develop correction action and quality improvement plans as needed for standards that are not met by vendors
  • Support the research and resolution of disputes with applicable vendor, member or provider issues and route to appropriate person(s) for resolution
  • Conduct recurring meetings (monthly, quarterly, etc.) to review and monitor vendor performance, address issues / CAPs etc. and present on the same to senior leadership
  • Serve as a critical thought partner in contract negotiations and vendor RFI’s, RFP’s, SOW’s, etc.
  • Assist with the onboarding and transition of new vendors, including the annual AEP planning and implementation cycle
  • Managing relationships with vendor partners to promote and maintain a high engagement
  • Manage staff and oversee their growth and development and assimilation into the vendor management department and the organization
  • Serve as a member of the department leadership team including acting as a captain for cross-department and/or division initiatives

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of healthcare management experience, preferably in vendor managed care or the health insurance field. Experience with reporting and analyzing data. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Project management experience preferred.

 

Pay Range: $103,500.00 - $191,600.00 per year
