As a Process Engineer, you will be part of a great team and will be responsible for developing innovative solutions and new approaches to engineering problems to determine the sequence of steps or processes required to fabricate and assemble products that meet the organization's standards of quality and cost of Food and Industrial Ingredients.

Your role will be:

  • Utilizing lean principles, analyze process conditions and operational activities to propose corrective actions as needed to ensure the process operates in a cost effective and efficient manner.
  • Assist Operations and Maintenance with troubleshooting of processing equipment and increase process reliability using root cause analysis.
  • Aid in day-to-day activities of the operation to produce products of sufficient quality and quantity to meet the projected demands of customers.
  • Incorporate Safety, Health, and Environmental compliance requirements into process improvements.
  • Manage assignments in accordance with Ingredion Engineering Standards.
  • Develop, evaluate, and seek approval for process modifications and optimization programs to improve the efficiency and capability of plant processes.
  • Implement improvement initiatives in conjunction with Operations and Maintenance.
  • Lead or participate in strategic process initiatives and studies.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of operations personnel in operational techniques and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement teams made up of peers throughout the Ingredion network.
  • Assist in mentoring less experienced engineers.

Your profile needs these qualifications:

  • BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering discipline.
  • 3- 5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to communicate across functional lines at all levels.
  • Decision making ability, planning and time management skills.
