Project Description:
Work with the Engineering staff to support substation projects, both capital and ops/maintenance. Work as an entry level engineering analyst doing tasks spanning all aspects of substation field operations including performance/efficiency, contract and project management, specifying new and replacement equipment, making process improvement recommendations, supporting requests from operations and maintenance. Through practical field experience and mentoring, successful candidate will gain significant professional confidence and people skills.
Substation Field Engineering is the engineering support for our substation electrician group. This support entails both troubleshooting of failed/failing equipment as well as replacement of failed equipment.
This will be a summer opportunity with the potential to extend into a school semester. The candidate should be able to work full-time during the summer. If the intern works during the school year, their hours should be part-time.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program, studying areas such as electrical, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering.
