What you'll be doing
The Technical Product Manager drives product development from inception to completion and rollout, ensuring both new and existing solutions benefit from industry insights and stakeholder feedback. With a focus on user needs, technology, and cost, they champion both the evolution of current business and the creation of innovative offerings. In collaboration with the Upstream Product Management and Product Management Leader, they mold the overarching visions into actionable components, and work with technical teams to bring the vision to reality, with decisions anchored in data.
Strategic Alignment
Partner with Product Line Leader and Upstream Product Managers to align plans with overall portfolio and product vision.
Work closely with Upstream Product Manager(s) or Product Line Leader to stay abreast on new technologies, industry direction, and market dynamics.
Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap of releases, initiatives, and epics.
Align planned release dates to overall product release and launch plans.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
Work closely with technical teams to define architecture, user experience, and innovative capabilities for the components managed.
Lead business architecture including user and data workflows for assigned component(s), aligning with overall business architecture of the product.
Work with counterparts in product and other stakeholders to validate concepts, themes, vision, and MVPs.
Specify requirements for current and future, supported by research and on-going interaction with internal and external customers or users.
Balance priorities between maintenance requirements, architecture, and new features.
Participate in retrospectives.
Knowledge Management
Partner with Product Owners to transfer knowledge on the business architecture and use cases.
Serve as a subject matter expert to support cross-functional teams and activities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a knowledge base that empowers internal teams to serve customers.
Develop user documentation & support materials.
Leads cross-functional release activities and support commercial launch activities.
May manage individual contributors.
What we look for
Bachelor’s degree in business, science, technology, medicine required; Master’s degree in Business Administration, preferred
3+ years of experience in product management.
Deep healthcare and/or clinical trial industry knowledge is ideal
Full life-cycle experience within healthcare or clinical trials industry
Has an executive presence, strong business acumen, and ability to navigate ambiguity
Strong analytical mindset and demonstrated ability to synthesize into a cohesive strategy
Experience building comprehensive business cases with proven results
Track record of successful product launches
Demonstrated leadership in executing market research
Proven ability to work directly with customers effectively
Proven ability to prioritize and focus on activities in alignment with strategy
Experienced people leader, and the ability to lead by influence
Proven leadership and decision-making ability in a fast-paced, agile environment
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English language
Direct experience managing medical devices that acquire vital signs used for monitoring or diagnosis would be advantageous
Experience with GCP, 21 CFR Part 11, Medical Device Security would be advantageous
