Position Summary...

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Team and Position Summary:

 This is the team that powers services and applications to manage customer accounts and identities, in a friction-less, predictable way. Build reusable SaaS products and services that manage Customer accounts and Identities and power end-to-end account creation, login, session, profile and membership journey.

Our team is responsible for design, development, and operations of applications used in the day to day working of Walmart’s Omni customer identity and accounts. We focus on developing micro-services and apps for the same by our customers in various e-com solutions. We interact with multiple teams across the company to provide scalable robust technical solutions.

 

 

 Position Responsibilities:

·     Through this role you have an opportunity to develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the customer and the company.

·     You will be responsible for design, architecture, and end-to-end delivery of one or more systems/products while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

·     You will have to estimate effort, identify risks, help with prioritization and devising/meeting project schedules.

·     You will raise the bar on sustainable engineering by improving best practices, producing best in class of code, documentation, testing and monitoring.

·     You will build and maintain systems in a way that ensures compliance with certification, regulatory standards, and a technology-based information security program.

·     In this role you will ensure product architecture and implementations are highly scalable, extensible with superior performance

·     You will show your skills in analyzing and testing programs/products before formal launch to ensure flawless performance

·     You will cultivate and suggest ideas for the extension of current systems to new products and services.

·     You will ensure on-schedule delivery of a high quality product that meets business and technical requirements.

·     You will be Mentoring /coaching other engineers in the team to facilitate their development and to provide technical leadership to them.

 

 

 Position Requirements:

Minimum qualifications:

·     A BE/BTech/ME/MTech//PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.

·     12+ years of strong design/development experience in building massively large scale distributed systems and products

·     Extensive experience in architecting and developing real-time multithreaded Java applications that are fault-tolerant, scalable and can handle high volumes

·     Excellent computer systems fundamentals, DS/Algorithms and problem solving skills.

·     Expert in OO design and design patterns.

·     Advanced, inside-out knowledge (coding experience) in Java, Spring Framework, Oracle, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes.

·     Good exposure to any of the public cloud infrastructure such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP, or AWS.

·     Experience in developing and designing applications and web services in a Service Oriented Architecture, including the use of RESTful services and API gateways.

·     Mentor junior developers and continuously improve software engineering practices.

 

Additional Qualifications:

·     Large scale distributed systems experience, including scalability and fault tolerance.

·     Nice to have full stack experience with Java, React, Nodejs.

·     A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate, and optimize systems and tools.

·     Exposure to content management, headless CMS.

·     Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
