About the role
The Senior Vice President, Marketing – APAC will be responsible for planning, developing and executing the region’s strategic marketing plan in alignment with business objectives and priorities. The ideal candidate has direct experience working within a global asset management organization and a history of managing marketing programs for institutional investors across the APAC region including Singapore, China, Hong Kong Korea, and Australia. The manager should be equally proficient with day-to-day marketing activities and long-term strategy. This individual will dually report to the Head of Marketing for the Global Client Group based in New York and the Managing Partner and Regional Head for Asia Pacific based in Sydney.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with regional customer relationship management and leadership to develop strategic marketing plans to reach the firm’s target audiences and channels in the APAC region.
Manage and execute integrated marketing programs highlighting focus strategies and themes, content and thought leadership, brand and promotional activities, conference and event strategy, digital, social and other communications.
Collaborate with investment and content teams to support the firm’s fund-raising initiatives with timely, compelling and well-positioned content; repurpose, repackage and translate material to support regional campaign efforts as needed.
Conduct competitor, customer and market surveillance to inform strategy.
Collaborate with business intelligence and sales teams to create a data-led marketing segmentation and lead generation strategy.
Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs using various KPIs. Monitor feedback from clients, prospects and sales professionals. Report and communicate learnings and conclusions to key stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all corporate and regional regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal partners to drive successful execution of strategic initiatives such as the Global Investor Conference, Brookfield Academy, and other programs, as needed.
About you
10+ years of marketing experience in asset management, including direct experience working with institutional investors
Proven track record in integrated marketing campaign management across marketing disciplines and mediums of communication (web/interactive marketing, email, social media, advertising, events, lead generation, PR, content creation, etc)
Experience creating content and working with alternative investment products and strong grasp of the capital markets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills, with ability to lead others in executing multi-components projects
Collaborative approach; able to engender support and effect change across the organization
Possess a “can do”/highly motivated attitude with a high degree of urgency
Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines
Full knowledge of the MS Office suite of products, and comfort with CRM and marketing technology tools such as Salesforce, Pardot, Seismic
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field
Travel
