Our Directed Energy team in Albuquerque is looking for a Principal Logistics consultant to contribute to the research and development of game changing, next-generation technologies. This is an exciting opportunity to design and develop a broad range of novel mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electromagnetic components and systems. Working alongside our scientists, engineers, and technicians, our successful candidate will be afforded the satisfaction of seeing ideas and designs implemented into next generation directed energy systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide Subject Matter Expert level logistics guidance to engineering teams and DOD senior leadership for development of air defense systems for Army, Air Force, and FMS customers
  • Develop sustainment, maintenance, and operational requirements for air defense systems
  • Develop product support policies, plans, procedures, and functional direction for fielding of air defense systems
  • Identify and apply logistics product data to make recommendations regarding legacy/operational products and services for improvement during operation and sustainment of the life-cycle logistics phase
  • Assist in the development of product training material / documentation
  • Interacting and soliciting data from AMC Major Subordinate Commands (TACOM, CECOM, USASAC, ASC, AMCOM, SDDC)
  • Perform market research for component suppliers for
  • Conduct trade studies from conceptual design and support to life cycle cost estimation

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors and 20+ years of experience or Masters and with functional and technical Army logistics operations
  • 15+ years of experience providing sustainment support at the Division level or higher
  • Experience with ADA and FA systems (THAAD, PATRIOT, MML, MEADS, LRHW)
  • Experience with fielding and supporting of Air Force and Army systems
  • Experience working with Army Staff or senior-level commands (O-6 or higher)
  • Knowledge of logistics processes, automation systems, and data relations between Army systems
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Certified Professional Logistician
  • Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with directed energy systems
