Job Summary
As NAV CANADA progresses its three aspirational initiatives (Airspace Modernization, Trajectory-Based Operations, and Digital Facilities), partnering for success is critical to NAV CANADA's success. Alignment of NAV CANADA strategic objectives with key partners including domestic and international suppliers, customers, and ANSPs to manage NAV CANADA's strategic investments and collaborations, ensuring business continuity for critical ATM systems, and identifying opportunities for innovation are critical for NAV CANADA's continued success.
The purpose of this role is to manage, support, and align Supply Chain strategic investments and collaborations on behalf of NAV CANADA with defined domestic and international suppliers, customers, and ANSPs, undertaking relationship management, maintaining these current and future partnerships, identifying joint propositions, and performing associated supply chain, procurement, and commercial contracting activities.

Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
- Manages and supports strategies that are set out by NAV CANADA Supply Chain leadership in support of collaborative business, contractual, relationships and objectives between NAV CANADA and key partners including international ANSPs. Supports NAV CANADA strategic objectives, management as well as NAV CANADA Critical and Strategic Suppliers, and others (within and outside of NAV CANADA) to deliver upon NAV CANADA's strategy.
- Advocates for NAV CANADA business interests as set out by NAV CANADA Supply Chain leadership, including performing supplier management, supplier compliance, and supplier improvement activities to ensure alignment of partner and supplier strategic direction and collaboration in support of NAV CANADA strategic objectives.
- Manages and supports the development and delivery of collaborative focused partnership and collaboration strategies to deliver opportunities for NAV CANADA’s end to end supply chain, including collaborative and commercial support that is aligned with NAV CANADA’s business strategies.
- Manages and supports strategic supply and/or capability partner relationships to deliver measurable value improvement (risk, cost, revenue, and performance), and innovation.
- Provides guidance to Supply Chain teams, program teams, and other key stakeholders on end-to-end Supply Chain collaboration opportunities, associated strategies, joint propositions and implementation approaches.
- Delivers training in support of Supply Chain strategic objectives.
- Advocation for internal and external collaborative working relationships with NAV CANADA’ suppliers and internal NAV CANADA teams.
- Undertakes supplier and market segmentation analysis to ensure that suppliers are being managed appropriately against supplier relationship management (SRM) criteria.
- Collaborates with Supply Chain team to manage supplier and customer performance (including contractual compliance), supplier risk assessments, and ongoing supplier, customer, and contract monitoring (including implementation of risk mitigation strategies).
- Contributes to the development of category strategies to ensure that collaboration aspects are appropriately included.
- Engages with Supply Chain teams as a means of delivering the contractual vehicles required for collaborations.
- Supports the Supplier and Executive review processes and ensure that the SRM systems and processes are in place for each partnership relationship.
Job Requirements
Education:
- University Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Contracting, Finance or related or equivalent combination of education training and experience.
- Designation from a relevant professional Supply Chain body (e.g. SCMA, SCMAO, CIPS).
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Supply Chain, Program/Project Management or related.
- Proven experience in the Supply Chain and Procurement professional with extensive relationship, category, contract, and account management experience.
- Experience supporting collaborative and commercial contracts, product development or and cross functional domestic and international partnership.
Knowledge:
- Well-developed technical proficiency, key areas including procurement, supply chain, legal, and commercial.
- In-depth knowledge of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and product development principles, processes and procedures
- In-depth knowledge and experience using a Third Party Risk Management solution to assess and monitor third party risks identified as being relevant to NAV CANADA.
- Well versed in the application of best practice procurement processes and tools.
- In-depth understanding of international business requirements
- Managing key strategic relationships with proven success in implementing innovative solutions and working across internal and partner organisations to deliver incremental business advantage, both financial and non-financial.
- Thought contributions in a dynamic operational organisation, with associated delivery of real and relevant business value.

- Ability to manage programs with several complementary sub-functions with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multi-functional teams.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to plan and organize program work to address business objectives as set out by senior leadership.
- Ability to support the development of processes, procedures, and tools to support the program’s work.
- Ability to execute and affect change through others to achieve program, departmental, and Company objectives.
- Excellent stakeholder relationship skills with proven ability of influencing at all levels.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and in a matrix management structure.
Personal Suitability:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with particular emphasis in the areas of advocacy, negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, including project management.
- Track record of highly effective delivery in support of strategy as set out by leadership, high levels of autonomy, and promoting collegiate and collective behaviour.
- Excellent assessment and analytical skills.
Working conditions:
- This position is based at Ottawa Head Office but may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
- This position requires occasional national and international travel.
