The Ingredion Performance System (IPS) Manager is responsible for:

  • Lead the implementation of Ingredion Performance System (IPS) initiatives in Thailand, and sustainability of IPS to drive improvement and increase operations efficiency.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop an improvement, sustainability, and continuous improvement and preventive IPS culture, plans to reduce losses, and improve effectiveness’s through root cause analysis and facilitate implementation of IPS strategy across Thailand.
  • Direct supervise Thailand IPS initiatives with country manufacturing director and 4 plants leadership support

Core Responsibilities:

Business

  • Chair the Thailand IPS Steering Committee.  Develop, standardize and track KPIs, best operational practices and root cause analysis for improvement projects. Identifies, evaluates and presents projects aligned with the operating or strategic agendas.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce costs overall, increase productivity and quality to deliver overall cost savings target with collaboration of country and plant leadership team in Thailand.
  • Manage/assist with sites overall savings targets for IPS efforts.  While the savings will be rolled into the individual site savings to report and claim, this role will share direct responsibility for achieving these targets.
  • Provide leadership and support to team on IPS pillars and foundation management systems implementations.
  • Support IPS Projects (PDCA, LSS and CAPEX) to assure short and long-term IPS Roadmap in Thailand.
  • Coordinate with APAC IPS Learning group training, processes, tools and reporting activities.

Agility and Innovation

  • Lead and drive a data driven culture of continuous process improvement throughout the organization utilizing improvement projects principles.   
  • Serve as a focal point for IPS activities and expert resource in country.
  • Maintain and continue to expand personal knowledge of IPS system; be considered an internal resource and expert in Lean Six Sigma for Thailand.

Relationships and People

  • Work collaboratively with leadership to identify initiatives and establish priorities based on corporate, regional and site business objectives.
  • Develop a culture, addressing mindset and behaviors aspects, to ensure the sustainability of IPS. 
  • Communicate the status and results of projects to key stakeholders.
  • Foster positive relationships with and between team members, plants, support functions and functional groups.
  • Lead cross functional teams and work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Liaise with other regional IPS Teams, country Engineering staff on Best Practices sharing.
  • Promote human talent development of direct reports, through the identification of growth opportunities, potential leaders and succession plan.
  • Lead regional teams and key stakeholders by influence, generating results and engagement at local and regional levels.

 

Qualified candidates will have:

Mandatory requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical and food Engineer etc.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in operations, technical role with knowledge in management system such as TPM, WCM, Lean, etc.
  • Certified as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt will be preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Thai, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management, presentation, communication and coaching skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to draw insights from data, make data-based decisions, and create a solid business case for recommended actions.

Desirable requirements:

  • Knowledge of Starch processing is a plus.
  • Reliability system and experience for maintenance will be a plus.
