Wells Fargo is seeking a Finance & Accounting Coordinator (Helpdesk Coordinator) to be part of our Finance & Controllers team. In this role, you will:
Support less experienced staff to drive overall effectiveness of team in preparing data and assisting in research on product line, operational, and strategic planning
Provide feedback and present ideas for improving or implementing processes and tools
Perform complex operational tasks, assist with research of financial, operating and economic data analyses testing, resolution of problems
Apply understanding of risk management requirements and compliance for finance area
Provide interpretation of procedures to less experienced staff
Escalate non-routine questions to more experienced management
Interact with Finance team, functional area and business partners on a wide range of information
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Candidate must be a graduate of a bachelor's degree or higher
Candidate must have 2+ years of relevant experience and must be knowledgeable in accounting for capital markets operations (trade settlement standards, custody operations, portfolio management strategies) and understands computer/system jargons and processes
Excellent problem solving, analytical and technical skills with ability to apply critical judgment and come up with effective decisions
Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency for detailed documentation with ability to validate work
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to maximize use of formulas and functions to streamline reporting needs
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure with a high motivation and able to meet stringent deadlines with strong sense of urgency and results and detail orientation
Ability to plan, prioritize and execute a body of work with minimal supervision
Exceptional research and exception handling skills
Flexibility to work in night shifts, or weekends/holidays if deemed necessary by the business
Possess an impeccable reputation for integrity, accuracy, consistency and business acumen.
Job Expectations:
Responsible for monitoring the completion and resolving any issues that occur within the processing of batched jobs under Portfolio STP in both SIMCORP applications
Responsible for validation of static data maintenance in SIMCORP and checking of the completion of control reports
Perform General Cost (GenCost) transactions validation daily to ensure that all transactions have appropriate documentation and approvals archived
Perform ongoing and ad hoc user testing of SimCorp and products (in test environments) to ensure systems and products are valid and operate without issues after implementation
Send status update as often as required, via SharePoint announcements
Responsible for the regular confirmation of system activity cycles
Responsible for tickets monitoring and maintenance of ALM ticket cycles - ticket creation via email requests; maintenance via mailbox monitoring, troubleshooting, issue analysis, coordinate for corrective actions; closure upon completion. Reviews QC Tickets for daily and weekly production verification and request approval from the onsite leaders
Generate daily and monthly reports for various SOA teams
Responsible for overnight reports monitoring which includes troubleshooting error scripts, run-date setups for monthly reports, product authorization, quarterly audits, and ad hoc tasks
Performs business analysis to help define solution options and recommendations for resolution of problem tickets and project subject matter, including pros/cons and rationale for recommendations
Participates in information exchange with business, project manager and IT to identify, gather, and document both high-level and detailed business requirements.
