We are currently looking for a Buyer 2 to join our team in Toluca, México. This role is critical in managing sourcing activities, negotiating commodity prices, and driving cost reduction initiatives to support our business goals.

A Day in the Life:

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned commodities.
• Negotiate and establish commodity prices to achieve cost reduction targets.
• Manage contracts, purchase orders, and supplier relationships to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
• Track and report on sourcing status, cost savings, and process improvements.
• Coach and mentor other buyers while supporting departmental knowledge transfer.

Who We’re Looking for:
Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in sourcing, procurement, or commodity management.
• Advanced English Level
• Strong skills in negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work onsite in Toluca and occasional day/overnight travel.

Desired:

• Knowledge of the automotive industry and assigned commodities.
•  Strong communication skills (written and oral), business acumen, and problem-solving ability.
• Experience in workflow improvement and analytical techniques (quote review, bundling analysis).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Reporting line:

Reports to: Purchasing Manager

Supervisory capacity:

Peer coaching and mentoring of other buyers (no direct reports).
