As an Associate Director Financial Planning and Analysis, you will be a business leader and key advisor/finance business partner to the Vision Care R&D organization (decision support). You will supports strategy and priority setting, and drives its implementation. Drive value creation through effective resource allocation and reallocation to pipeline projects. Provide inputs and recommendations into portfolio prioritization and BD&Ls. Create tools, processes, reports and metrics to accurately budget, forecast and explain business performance. Proactively manage performance to meet or exceed financial objectives. Leads financial integration of acquisitions that relate to Vision Care R&D. Identify, raise, and resolve key business and financial issues with minimum oversight. Responsible for accurate and timely month-end close process for Vision Care (EOD & Pharma) R&D.

This role will be in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, a typical day will include:

What You'll Bring To Alcon:

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs;Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • 7 Years of Relevant Experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance and CPA, CMA or MBA is preferred
  • Extensive experience in FP&A and accounting background (prior experience in R&D or manufacturing is a plus)
  • 6 years of demonstrated leadership
  • Broader understanding of finance (beyond accounting and FP&A), project management, and procurement
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (incl. ability to synthesize, simplify, and convey story/messages concisely)
  • Ability to influence key partners with different interests/disciplines and see big picture
  • Ability to manage complexity and simplify/standardize outcomes
  • Proactivity, attention to detail and quality
