Job Summary

As a BIM technician, you will work under the close supervision of the BIM Manager and develop your engineering knowledge to produce multidisciplinary BIM Models and drawings. Supporting our engineering teams, you will be responsible for creating drawings from markups and ensuring the output meets the required standards and procedures.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Skill Requirements

  • Fundamentals of mechanical or electrical systems.
  • Experience using Revit to produce engineering 3D models and drawings.
  • Navigate the project browser, ribbon, and settings.
  • Knowledge of view templates, systems, filters and worksets.
  • Basic family creation.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, with a good background in producing engineering CAD drawings.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering mark-up drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify cross-discipline coordination issues.
  • Computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications

  • University Degree, Diploma or Higher Education Qualification in Architecture or Engineering

Project Experiance

It is preferred that the candidate has had exposure to six or more small to medium projects. Working as part of the design team across multiple project stages and being responsible for the production, setup and service coordination. 

AND/OR

Exposure to one large multidisciplinary project. Working as part of the design team across multiple project stages and being responsible for the production, setup and service coordination.
