The Private Wealth Management internship will provide a thorough overview of UMB’s Private Wealth line of business and to allow learning in the financial services industry. UMB Private Wealth Management sector provides best investment advisory practices for our customers.  Our offerings range from private banking, investment management services, trust and lifestyle management, and insurance services. The program will provide interns with a comprehensive and practical understanding of the private wealth industry.  Interns will be exposed to various departments, including but not limited to, sales, marketing, finance, and operations. The internship program aims to provide participants with a well-rounded understanding of the private wealth management banking while cultivating their research, analytic, and interpersonal skills. 

How you will spend your time:

  • Participate in various rotations; meeting with experienced bankers for direct exposure and insight into Sales and Delivery, Trust Administration, and Investments along with the various aspects of the private wealth industry
  • Gain insight into business drivers, approach to managing portfolios and investment documentation, identifying industry trends, and best risk management practices
  • Prepare deliverables to investment team members focused on mutual fund investments
  • Create and participate in full circle financial planning objectives including case reviews, pre-calls, and presentations
  • Attend various meetings to be exposed to all lines of businesses within UMB
  • Work within group assignments as assigned
  • Adhoc responsibilities

We are excited to speak with you if:

  • Have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate education focused in business, finance, accounting, or any related major
  • Demonstrated strong academic performance of at least a 2.5 overall GPA
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated initiative both independently and within a team
  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word

*This position will be for UMB's 2025 summer internship program*

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $25,640.00 - Maximum: $59,330.00

The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
