Job Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing production of 3D graphene.
  • Compounding of thermoplastic composites.
  • Work with other technicians and operators for the operation and maintenance of Lyten reactors and compounders.
  • Learn and perform basic mechanical and electrical skills to diagnose and maintain Lyten and third-party equipment.
  • Set up and execute lab tests, including mechanical properties testing of thermoplastic composites.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of laboratory equipment and ensure proper function.
  • Maintain accurate records, e.g. equipment maintenance and laboratory notebooks.
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to bring new ideas to life and achieve technical goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Good understanding of safety and personal protection equipment (PPE).
  • Be prompt and reliable.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience in a lab or manufacturing environment OR a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or civil engineering.
  • Demonstrated mechanical proficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills and strong work ethic.
  • Basic analysis experience with spreadsheets.
  • Problem solving, time management, and organization skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and safety conscious.
  • Team player.

Physical requirements:

  • Able to lift 20-30 lbs.
  • This role will require long periods of standing in a laboratory environment.

Compensations Range:

The expected base salary range for this position is between

$38.32 - $57.45

The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.

This compensation and benefits information is based on Lyten’s estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. We generally do not negotiate on salary once we have made an offer.  The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise. New hires joining the company tend to be paid within the starting base pay range noted above, with opportunities to increase pay over time based on development of additional skills, competencies, and company-specific knowledge.

In addition to base pay this position is eligible for tier based bonus and equity, healthcare, dental, vision, corporate discounts, paid holidays, PTO and sick time, 401K, employee relocation plan (if applicable)
