The Home Buying team unlocks the dream of Home Ownership for Australians through end-to-end management of the Home Loan business, including distribution, acquisition, retention, customer experience, risk, change, and continuous improvement

Do work that matters

As a Product Owner (Senior) you will report to the Crew Lead, Apply with Ease (AWE). You’re an inventor, reimagining how customers experience the Home Buying journey through the CommBank app. You will be responsible for the end-to-end product roadmap/strategy, delivery and measurement. You will obsess over crafting industry first experiences with AI driven technology, balancing commercial outcomes and managing risk. You are passionate about making the Home Loan experience simpler and driving NPS +30 by removing customer effort and creating promoters through wow moments.

As a Product Owner (Senior) your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Own the product vision, strategy and roadmap; sufficiently prioritising the backlog to maximise value
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, day-to-day delivery and agile ceremonies
  • Act as the voice of the customer and translate this for the team to drive a collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Manage the squad’s performance to defined objectives including OKR tracking, etc
  • Measure and experiment to ensure every initiative is delivering value to customers and shareholders
  • Identify, articulate and manage dependencies, risks and compliance across streams of work
  • Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design
  • Lead and develop the product roadmap, and engagement with senior stakeholders/ business units to manage the delivery of product roadmap
  • Maintain a healthy prioritised Backlog to deliver business and customer outcomes
  • Manage senior business and technical stakeholders to ensure that prioritisation is understood and agreed to

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • Strong knowledge in Digital Banking and mobile app experiences
  • Experience designing and executing digital experiences (web and app) to deliver business and customer value
  • Deeply passionate and curious about the ways our customers interact with our different channels, and champion the voice of our customers at every possible chance
  • Proven Product Owner & team leadership experience
  • Knowledge of Artificial intelligence and emerging technology
  • Experience in defining Product Roadmaps and delivering Product vision
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management capabilities. Success in the role requires the ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
