About the role

Collective Voice is looking for a Product Designer to join our Design team and work collaboratively to evolve, iterate and oversee user experience of products (creator/influencer platform) from conception, testing to launch. The role requires effective partnership with product managers, designers, frontend engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders. This role is a great opportunity to work alongside our team of expert product designers to build a domain knowledge in design with a fast growing company in the influencer/creators marketing space.

Responsibilities:

  • Take broad, conceptual ideas and create design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant for supported platforms.
  • Design digital user interfaces, create Hi-Fidelity Visual designs, and design new experiences or layouts that evolve and/or define visual systems for web-based applications and technologies with a focus on aesthetics and design that scale across a variety of C.V. apps/ecosystems and shape its design system.
  • Partner with product designers, product manager, engineers and content strategists (marketing) to iterate and oversee user experience of a product from conception, testing to launch. 
  • Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our C.V. bar for quality.
  • Work on problems with PMs of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires review of a variety of factors.
  • Collaborate with related teams in marketing and legal to ensure compliance of solutions.

Technical skills needed

  • Mastery in Figma.

  • Web and Mobile Design Expertise: The ideal candidate should have a strong background in web design, with a proven track record of creating intuitive and impactful user interfaces for web (desktop, tablet, mobile) design and mobile applications.

  • iOS Proficiency: Experience in designing for iOS platforms is essential. The candidate should be familiar with iOS design guidelines and best practices to ensure seamless integration and optimal user experience.

  • Mobile-First Design Approach: We are looking for a designer who prioritizes a mobile-first design philosophy. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to design with a mobile-first mindset, ensuring that mobile usability and performance are at the forefront of the design process with the ability to rapidly expand a mobile experience to desktop.

  • Command of color, typography, and visual hierarchy - be able to use design systems and contribute as well.

  • Create Figma documentation that keeps teams on the same page (context, problem …). 

  • Experience working in the full lifecycle of Lean/Agile delivery model, Work with cross-functional teams to understand design’s requirements and bridge the gap between design and engineering.

  • Apply expertise in multiple platforms’ standards and good practices (iOS, iPadOS, Android, macOS, Windows, etc.) to improve Spectrum and make each experience the most intuitive, efficient, and rewarding experience possible.

  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS

  • Experience applying Accessibility best practices (WCAG)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in building and shipping applications or software at the level of whole features or products across a variety of platforms

  • Interaction design, including defining how an experience should behave based on understanding people's needs

  • Conducting end to end design process across multiple projects including interaction and visual design artifacts and high-fidelity prototypes

  • Understanding product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to internal and external users

  • Creating user flow and mockups to articulate design concepts

  • Defining product specifications and user experiences

  • Understanding and interpreting user research and usability testing
