We are currently seeking applications to fill the following job opening at Asahi Kasei Bioprocess where we sell Planova® virus removal filters and develops and manufactures related bioprocess equipment.

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Work with Assembly Lead and/or independently to receive, commission, and assemble components for process equipment.  Work with Order Entry and Engineering to create and load Bills of Material, fulfill orders, package and ship to customers.  Create and maintain documentation for the department and customers. 

        

B.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (Indicate percentage of time performed):

1.

Assemble and test process equipment for pharmaceutical and bioprocess market.

2.

Assemble and test air driven hydraulic pump carts.

3.

Read and interpret Engineering Bills of Material.

4.

Issue material from Inventory to Jobs.

5.

Prepare packing lists and other shipping documentation.

6.

Reviewing orders in ERP (Navision).

7.

Maintaining minimum levels of Floor Stock items.

8.

Cycle counts of Inventory items.

9.

Maintain a clean and organized work space

10.

Packing or crating of materials, systems, and equipment for shipment.

11.

Assist QC with inspection of incoming components.


ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Order Entry, Engineering, Receiving, Quality Control, Purchasing, Documentation, Drafting & Design, Sales.

E.  MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:   

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Hands-on mechanical skills

  • Familiarity with commonly-used tools

F.  PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. 

G.  TRAINING PROVIDED

  • Column Assembly, Cart Assembly, Spare Parts Order fulfillment, Navision, Fed Ex website, U.P.S. website and software, fork truck operation.
