SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Senior Analyst position is responsible for setting up and maintaining participation deals/statements. This position reviews and understands contractual agreements, ensuring that all financial obligations are properly reflected in WB systems.  Additionally, the Senior Analyst will be involved in enhancing departments systems and tools through system testing; and improving business processes.

Daily Activities

1. Set up and maintain deals in WB systems to support profit participation reporting.  Read and understands abstracts, legal agreements, and other related written documentation.  Review statements of other analysts to validate deal setup in Sylvester. Coordinate and communicate with various business units and groups within the division to ensure contractual obligations are met timely and accurately.  Provide user support for automated participations reporting system as needed.

2. Assist with template maintenance and enhancement testing to improve business processes. Perform Term Deal maintenance and Stakeholder setup.  

Track new product and maintain status reports to prioritize and expedite workflow.

Identify process improvements to streamline flow from abstracting through to reporting.

Document best practices and provide training to staff if necessary.

3. Handle research and support special projects as needed.

The Essentials

  • 2-4 years work experience in a finance, legal, accounting, auditing or IT environment.
  • Able to make key decisions related to statement set up to ensure the reporting is conforming to the contractual obligations.
  • Must be able to review legal agreements, financial data, and calculations for reasonableness and determine when an issue needs to be researched or escalated.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, legal, accounting, information systems, or related field.
  • Strong to expert competency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read and understand digests and abstracts of legal agreements.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technology quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent multitasking, organization and time management skills.
  • Must have very strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be flexible to changing priorities.
  • Must have strong mathematical and algebra skills.

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, meet tight deadlines under fast paced environment, and work overtime as needed.
  • Solution oriented individual who can work in a dynamic, fast paced, high volume environment and think outside of the box.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.

Nice to haves

  • Participations and/or entertainment industry experience a plus.
  • Experience with automated participations reporting system a plus.
  • Experience with system implementations and testing a plus
  • Experience with Jira a plus.
  • Experience in a large corporate environment a plus.
