The Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for partnering with the Sales and Finance teams to aid in strategically using product pricing as a means to win and grow business. Primary responsibilities for this role include performing analysis of pricing and evaluating the implementation and return on past pricing and promotional activity. This role will also contribute to Revenue Operations by building tools focused on pipeline management, lead sourcing and administrative support for logistical projects. The Sales Operations Analyst will report into the Sales team and will work closely with Finance, Marketing, Procurement and Logistics business partners through communicating price actions, reporting impact, and recommending potential pricing initiatives.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Work closely with Sales to build pricing proposals and implement strategic pricing decisions for different customers and customer segments to maximize profitability, growth and market dominance
  • Attend sales calls and act as the analytical partner.  This would include completing product pricing templates after calls as well as, doing customer profitability analysis to ensure proposed pricing meets the Finance team’s thresholds.
  • Track, monitor and analyze how product pricing and special programs are impacting margin performance on the customer, category and consolidated level.  
  • Provide detailed analytics to the Procurement department that will enable that team to navigate Supplier price negotiations
  • Bring together leaders from Procurement and Account Management to ensure customers are appropriately informed when product pricing changes are expected to be deployed into their ordering portal
  • Ensure product pricing is aligned with business objectives through the evaluation of each pricing initiative
  • Contribute revenue by creating systems that promote growth, build efficiencies and find solutions within existing structures. Optimize CRM functions and work with outside consultation firms to improve systems.

About you: 

  • 3+ years of sales operations, or financial analysis either in logistics driven or SaaS organizations, ideally with B2B experience.
  • Detail oriented with a strong ability to create accurate proposals, track project statuses and create processes.  
  • Microsoft Excel skills must be strong
  • SQL, Netsuite, Hubspot, and/or Looker, experience is a BIG plus
  • Experience partnering with Product Managers, Marketing, Finance, and Account Management stakeholders to drive and implement pricing strategies.
  • Able to synthesize complex data and infer meaningful trends and insights and to present concepts and recommendations to various business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable defining and launching new pricing strategies.
  • Track record of recognizing and reporting on internal and industry trends.
  • Familiarity with analytics, database access and reporting tools is ideal but not required.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with others in a diverse, multiethnic and multicultural work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, decentralized environment.

    This is an L2, Associate role.  Compensation range is $65,000 - $80,000 DOE.
