Job Description

We are currently seeking a Program Manager to develop processes and structure to assist with prioritization and visibility to strategic initiatives, driving and facilitating teams, and assisting with the sharing of program management best practices and tools across the PSAS Organization. This person will maintain the portfolio view of all programs assigned as well as lead and facilitate the execution of specific key programs and initiatives. The Program Manager is expected to meet established program goals while maintaining internal customer satisfaction. The Program Manager will be responsible for helping to build, manage, and execute programs in the areas of Supply Chain related services, ranging from operations, execution, and transformation; assuring program alignment to goals, and communicating the story of the initiative in a way that motivates the team and our customers to achieve the desired outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Works across the MMS organization and support functions (Product, Sales, Analytics, Engineering, Finance, and Legal) to prioritize, track progress, identify risks, and communicates updates of all programs in one view.  Manage and deliver business critical initiatives to exceed customer and stakeholder expectations and integrate into Supply Chain systems.
  • Own large, cross-functional data & digital transformational initiatives/workstreams and help define incremental breakdown of the work for implementation and value delivery in an accelerated fashion.
  • Be accountable to drive initiatives/workstreams within the data & digital transformation, apply the most effective best practices, foster meaningful collaboration, increase technical delivery velocity, quality, predictability and value, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure milestones for Initiatives in implementations are on track and measure against value articulated at the end of each delivery cycle.
  • Primary point of contact for Initiatives with stewardship through implementation to realize business value delivery of the initiative as defined in the business case.
  • Provide support to Portfolio Managers and Business Owners for structuring their Business Case, managing budget and MVP or Feature Definition.
  • Enable Supply Chain and Release Roadmap creation in collaboration with Solution Architects, Business Owners, Technical Leadership, and teams as needed.
  • Schedules, drives, and facilitates key program discussions and updates with a structured agenda. Manages and drives follow-ups to completion.
  • Accountability and ownership of key initiatives to achieve program goals, including managing scope, timeline and value.
  • Provide communication and transparency on health of Programs to different levels of audiences based on quality, value and cost.
  • Plans and executes internal meetings and events.
  • Leads through issues and roadblocks while anticipating and managing program risks.
  • Acts as a change agent and a program management evangelist to the team helping the team use structured, and consistent where appropriate, program management frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
  • Builds and develops internal customer relationships.
  • Ability to shift between the “big picture” and program level details. Works through detailed issues when required.
  • Adapts program management approach to effectively support the team and stakeholders.
  • Actively communicates with customer leadership, program sponsors, key stakeholders, and program teams.
  • Promote end user adoption of Supply Chain Services.

Skills

  • 7-10 years of experience in large, global organization in cross-functional roles with progressive responsibility specifically in SUPPLY CHAIN & digital transformations.
  • Experience developing next Generation program management tools, state of the art methodologies for effective Program Management and KPIs specific to program management.
  • Deep experience with SDLC, Supply Chain Development Lifecycle.
  • Understanding of Agile, SAFe and Bi-Modal Delivery Structures.
  • Proven leadership capability to run large program delivery spanning multiple organizations and stakeholders without a lot of oversight and support.
  • Proven ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Experience with conflict resolution, working with executive management in prioritization, negotiating in matrix organization while delivery program management value to the business. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technical or Healthcare Related field.
  • Strong ability to communicate and influence.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with proven risk and issue management skills.
  • Works well in a team centered environment as well as the ability to work independently
  • Experience in healthcare a plus
  • PMP Certification required, SAFe or other Agile Scaling Certifications are a plus.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience with Sales Force delivery and/or program management.
  • Proven experience of technology delivery across large teams and multiple technologies.
  • 5+ years of relevant hands-on Supply Chain delivery experience
  • Understanding of data analytics and digital technology usage for the Supply Chain Domain.

  • Ability to motivate and influence leaders and teams without direct authority
  • Financial acumen and ability to make data driven decisions

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$133,300 - $222,100
