The Role:

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our growing Digital & Business Transformation team. Medcan is growing to help our clients live healthier, happier lives by making smart, evidence-based health decisions over the long term through expanded locations and services, new digital and physical experiences, and action-based results.

The Transformation team is mandated to review operations and digital systems to ensure we are optimizing our people, processes, and technology to deliver the high quality of care our clients know and expect.

As the Project Manager of Digital Transformation, you will be responsible for developing detailed project plans related to our core transformation activities as outlined by the Director of Digital Transformation & Innovation and the VP of Business Operations & Transformation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and deliver the Transformation project from the planning phase to the execution phase
  • Identify resource requirements, and availability, and allocate deliverables
  • Work with the business team and change manager to ensure smooth project delivery and operation transition
  • Manage scope change requests and maintain project documentation
  • Maintain project budget
  • Manage project risk through timeline management, vendor budget management, and escalate to management as required
  • Maintain weekly project updates

Required Skills

  • Four or more years of project management experience
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects spanning both technical and business units
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
  • Proven success working with all levels of management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Professional certification (PMP or CSM, for example)
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with projects on a wide range of technology platforms including – but not limited to – Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, Azure, and client-facing digital products like patient/client portals or e-commerce sites.

This position reports to the Director of Digital Transformation & Innovation.  This is a full-time role that is scheduled during business hours Monday through Friday, and operates in a hybrid work environment with 2 days in the office in downtown Toronto.
