Project Description:

• The Transmission Environmental Policy will participate in regional and interregional transmission planning efforts to analyze the environmental impact, both positive and negative, of transmission expansion in pursuit of furthering the clean energy transition.
• This internship will culminate with presentation of a case study performed by the intern analyzing the impact of a given transmission project meant to enable increased levels of clean energy and contrast those benefits with the environmental impacts of line construction and operation. This would be paired with a recommendation on how this evaluation could aid in future transmission project origination.
• This will be a summer opportunity with the potential to extend into a school semester. The candidate should be able to work full-time during the summer.  If the intern works during the school year, their hours should be part-time.

Minimum Requirements:

• Enrolled in programs focused on Science, Technology, or Mathematics, such as computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, accounting, data science, drafting, gas design, electric design, project management, construction management, chemistry, biology, environmental studies, natural sciences, and similar.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $18.40 to $21.60 per hour
