What will you do? 

This is an opportunity to work on technically complex, iconic power infrastructure projects, at the time and place that suits you and your work community. 
 
The opportunity for you to expand your power knowledge through continuous growth and diverse experiences working with some of Australia and New Zealand's biggest energy clients, to help you become the best and truest version of yourself while tackling some of the biggest challenges facing the world. 
 
We are looking for experienced engineers to join our Transmission & Distribution team working within our Energy business. We are particularly looking for experience in: 

  • Management of design projects including scope definition, financial management, project scheduling, quality, and risk management 

  • Lead multiple concurrent projects across the entire life cycle, including study phase, design, tender and construction phase support 

  • Active role in the development and maintenance of positive client relationships and ongoing business development 

  • Responsible for leadership and development of junior team members 

  • Be part of a supportive team that works together to meet our client’s goals 

  • Proficient in using PLS-CADD software suite including PLS-Pole and PLS-Tower. 

  • Familiarity with Australian Standards relevant to overhead Transmission & Distribution line design.

As well as experience in a similar senior or lead structural engineering role. Specifically: 

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in the Civil / Structural Engineering 

  • Chartered engineer credential 

  • Extensive experience within Power Transmission and Distribution is essential 

  • Tower and pole design experience is essential 

  • Strong technical capability and report writing skills 

  • Experience on working for utilities, preferably for Western Power and/or Horizon Power, is desirable.
