Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has exciting opportunities for Flightline Operations Managers (Level K) to support the 777/777-9 Preflight and Delivery (PF&D) program in Everett, Washington on multiple shifts.

This is a unique opportunity to lead teams in daily operational production system processes and provide technical oversight in the planning and execution of aircraft delivery. Successful candidates must be able to develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, cross-functional support and direct reports.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that aircraft are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight/postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery.

  • Interacts with customers, flight crew, engineering, suppliers and leadership, to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

  • Actively promotes the growth and development of employees and fosters an environment of respect and inclusion.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in the aerospace industry.

  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role.

  • 3+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment.

  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime, if required.

  • Possess an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License or the aircraft years and experience necessary to obtain* FAA Repairman's certificate. (*To obtain a repairman certification, an applicant must be able to provide proof of the minimum requirement of 18 months of hands on work on airframe and 18 months on power plant.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Aircraft flightline operations experience.

  • A&P License.

  • Experience working with live customers.

  • Experience with any of the following: quality assurance, troubleshooting capabilities, avionics, functional test knowledge, release, manufacturing, and/or structures.

  • Proficiency using Common Manufacturing Execution System (CMES).

  • Boeing systems and software.

Relocation:

Summary Pay Range: $127,300 - $147,400
