Position Summary: 

As a People Partnering Specialist at EarnIn, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and nurturing our company culture while ensuring that our people practices align with our mission and values serving as the local point of contact for the People Partner team in our growing Mexico City location. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about people, has a strong understanding of HR best practices, loves data and systems, and thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

This is a hybrid position (2 days/week in office) and will be based in Mexico City, Mexico. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. 

What You'll Do:

  • People Programs and Initiatives - contribute to the development and execution of people programs that support our mission, such as employee engagement actions, acclimation of newly hired employees, wellness initiatives, ERG and diversity, inclusion, & belonging initiatives. 
  • Data Management - generate reports and analyze data to support quarterly workforce reviews, provide data support to people partners, and suggest process improvements as we scale and grow
  • Employee Relations - serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, conflict resolution, and employee development. Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Performance Management - support the performance review process by working with people partners to schedule training and calibration sessions, and provide materials to ensure a smooth and effective process that sets clear expectations, provides constructive feedback, and facilitates employee growth.
  • Compliance - Ensure compliance with country, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Point of contact for EarnIn Mexico employees on local benefits
  • Culture and Engagement - champion local culture to align with broader EarnIn culture and values, as well as local culture. Work with Office Manager to ensure successful employee events, and team-building activities that reinforce our values and foster a strong sense of belonging

What We’re Looking For:

  • You’ve done this before. You have at least 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, HR Manager, People Program Manager or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Strong problem solving, reporting, and analytical skills. High proficiency in Google Applications, including Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, and GMail. Proficiency in at least one HRIS system. Experience in HiBob is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance, including knowledge of Mexico HR laws and regulations 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, high EQ and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to build relationships and deliver feedback effectively
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
