Job Summary:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing a variety of routine tasks to support recruiting efforts of the Talent Acquisition team for primarily hourly and salaried non-exempt roles. The incumbent provides support for day-to-day recruitment efforts within a given business unit or functional area.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage non-driver leads from ATS, CRM and internet resources by cold calling, e-mail, chat, SMS, campaigns, or other applicable systems and tools
  • Maintain contact with non-driver leads, applicants, and candidates for current and future opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates and confirm level of interest throughout the hiring process
  • Follow up with prospects and invite them to apply/answer questions about J.B. Hunt
  • Screen, assess and refer candidates to appropriate employment positions
  • Partner with recruiters and Talent Acquisition leadership to understand hiring needs and the specific requirements for each open position
  • Ensure CRM and Recruiters are updated in real time on candidate activity
  • Conduct job duties in a compliant manner, incorporating the principles of equal employment opportunity
  • Assist with other duties as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 6+ months of related experience, and/or military equivalent


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration/Management, Communications, Psychology, or related field, with 1-2 years of experience, education, and training.
  • AND/OR
  • Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:
  • Ability to act professionally
  • Ability to be both flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to communicate effectively through all mediums
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Experience coordinating events and managing logistics
  • Experience in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with report compilation
  • Experience working in a customer service job
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient active listening skills
  • Willingness to help others

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
