We are currently looking for a Purchasing Intern to join our team.  The position will be located in Smyrna Vehicle Assembly and will be a full-time role for the Fall 2024. During the course of your internship, you will have the chance to:

  • Carry out sourcing and cost reductions for a limited group of Commodities

  • Analyze data and provide recommendations on course of actions

  • Interface with other departments and suppliers to ensure necessary documents/data are in place to assist managers and buyers meet required actions.

  • Track and report on status of sourcing, cost reductions, process improvements, and other defined goals

  • Assist with other various tasks as needed

In order to qualify for this role, you must:

  • Currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or a related field

  • GPA of 3.0 or above

  • Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail

  • Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skill sets

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Access, etc.
