A deeper understanding of the concepts and principles that support teaching and learning for children with special needs. Analysis of resources, strategies, processes and interventions. Development of individualized programs based on formal and informal assessments. Interpretation and communication of results. Study of legal issues.

- Master of Education;

 - Specialist qualification in the field;

 - Recent full-time teaching experience in a school or school board administration;

 - 2 years' experience in implementing the Ontario curriculum in this subject area;

 - Confirmation of current qualifications in the field;

 - Demonstrated ability to apply the Ontario Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for

   Code of Ethics.

A level of education/experience deemed equiv. may be substituted for the required education and/or experience.
