Job Summary
This role is responsible for leading overall software integration for cross-functional projects within the Better Together and AI Products team and offering guidance to software development architecture teams on reliability and automated testing plans. The role involves hands-on experimentation with custom software on proprietary devices, including embedded systems running RTOS and edge systems running Android, Linux, or Windows.

Responsibilities
• Develops Better Together experience demoes in collaboration with development, design, and marketing teams.

• Review, codevelop, organize, and integrate code contributions from different teams and individuals, and create production builds on a variety of platforms

• Provides advanced failure analysis, root cause identification, and corrective actions for software reliability concerns and/or issues during development, manufacturing and field operations.
• Provides consultation to software development architecture teams for material component selection, and associated reliability test plans.
• Executes planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the ecosystem, ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.
• Analyzes field quality data to identify areas for prevention of failure and improved detection of equipment issues.
• Develops new acceleration techniques and analytical tools to assure the early identification of potential problems with new products, packaging, processes, and product reliability.
• Actively mentors less-experienced engineers in the field of software integration, reliability, and experimentation.

• Is able to work out of the Solutions Testing lab in the Austin office, multiple days in a work week.

Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical, Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Sciences, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in software reliability testing and analysis, root cause analysis, or a related field within edge systems (workstations, laptops, meeting room equipment, embedded devices).

• Have been an open-source maintainer for a project with many contributors.

The base pay range for this role is $ 130,350 to $ 200,750 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).  Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
