#WeAreCrowdStrike and our mission is to stop breaches. As a global leader in cybersecurity, our team changed the game. Since our inception, our market leading cloud-native platform has offered unparalleled protection against the most sophisticated cyberattacks. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing over 1 trillion events a day with a petabyte of RAM deployed in our Cassandra clusters - and this traffic is growing daily. We’re looking for people with limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to developing and shaping our cybersecurity platform. Consistently recognized as a top workplace, CrowdStrike is committed to cultivating an inclusive, remote-first culture that offers people the autonomy and flexibility to balance the needs of work and life while taking their career to the next level. Interested in working for a company that sets the standard and leads with integrity? Join us on a mission that matters - one team, one fight.

About the Role:

CrowdStrike Falcon® for IT, a module of the leading AI-native CrowdStrike Falcon® platform, enables IT and security teams to query their entire IT estate across endpoints, servers and cloud workloads, get quick and accurate answers, and take decisive action. It helps organizations streamline key use cases like fleet management, compliance, forensic investigations and performance monitoring with CrowdStrike’s single, lightweight Falcon agent.

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Team to build microservices using Golang.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and maintain backend microservices by researching areas of concern to implementing the final solution that is resilient, performant, and scalable to handle millions of events daily

  • Ensure that developed solutions adhere to company SLO/SLA guarantees by instrumenting services with appropriate metrics, logs and other health indicators and establish, through performance testing as well as steady-state production metric trends, the appropriate baselines for SLO/SLA violation alerting and reporting

  • Collaborate with engineering and product team members, as well as other teams within the company to conceptualize, design, build, and support back-end services

  • Ensure software quality via manual, unit and integration testing to ensure that defects are detected before releasing changes to production

  • Determine level of effort of development efforts using Agile practices such as backlog grooming, story refinement and story pointing, or by constructing holistic design documents, delivery plans and project schedules

  • Led development efforts with 1 or more internal or external team members ensuring delivery commitments are on time and meet requirements defect free

  • Effectively communicate any concerns that may impact delivery of the development efforts in a proactive and timely manner

  • Investigate, take ownership and resolve customer reported problems as well as participate in on-call support rotations

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code meets all quality, security and serviceability standards and best practices

  • Continually expand knowledge of the companies tooling, architecture, environments and processes as well as software industry trends

What You'll Need:

  • Experience with developing API or event driven microservices using one of the following languages: Java, Go, or Node.JS

  • Experience with designing and developing microservices that are scalable, performant, and resilient.

  • Experience with building REST API microservices that can support 100s of requests per second that are easily adopted/integrated by other microservice developers by referencing API contract documentation and integration test examples

  • Experience with building event driven microservices that can support thousands of events per second while guaranteeing no events are lost using event driven architecture and middleware such as Kafka or SQS

  • Experience with developing multi-threaded solutions with algorithms and constructs that address parallel processing and concurrency concerns.

  • Experience with creating high-level as well as detailed design documentation that defines the solution and complexities that are involved with it.

  • Experience with modeling persistent data schemas/structures within RDBMS(MySQL or Postgres) and NoSQL(Elastic Search or Cassandra) storage engines and implement performant code for storing and retrieving data

  • Experience with and understanding of engineering best practices around coding standards, secure coding standards, appropriate testing paradigms, and code reviews.

  • Experience with or understanding of public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP or Azure

  • Experience with working in an Agile development process that involved backlog grooming, story refinement and story pointing and daily stand-ups, or experience with traditional SDLC process with dedicated design, plan, ship phases.
