Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy plus 1 year of experience working as a pharmacist (or pharmacy intern) in a retail or hospital setting PLUS Certification as a licensed Registered Pharmacist by the State of Arkansas or eligible for licensure by the State of Arkansas.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a Pharm.D.
2 years of applicable pharmacy experience

Responsibilities:
Reviews and interprets prescriber's orders and detects appropriateness of therapy; prepares and dispenses medications. Prepares sterile admixtures using proper aseptic technique.
Prepares chemotherapy according to departmental policies and procedures.
Answers client questions regarding prescription renewal, dosage, and side effects.
Serves as a primary or co-preceptor for College of Pharmacy rotational students; provides formal, in-depth training of students and new staff.
Assists with development of educational materials and in-services for staff development.
Directs, advises, and instructs staff in assigned area in all activities pertaining to job duties and functions.
Assists leadership in all aspects of pharmacy operations in area of assigned responsibility.
Serves as a liaison between the pharmacy service line and the assigned practice area.
Ensures equipment and facilities are used, calibrated, and maintained properly.
Promotes a safe working environment by adhering to UAMS patient safety plan.
May perform other duties as assigned.
