Job Summary:

Under general supervision, provides key support for functional groups, including performance of a wide variety of specialized clerical functions involving compiling and arranging data, making computations, laying out and preparing reports, processing and coding documents, and maintaining specialized and comprehensive records and filing. Sets up and prepares statistical reports. Resolves discrepancies and may communicate with a variety of administrative and professional employees within and outside the organization. Responsibilities: Duties and tasks require independent analysis and independent judgment and reflect substantial variety and complexity. Performs complex office work such as document processing, record-keeping and report compilation. Assignments are broad in nature and usually require originality and ingenuity. Has a detailed knowledge of company and/or department procedures related to work performed. May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. This job often represents the top level of knowledge and specialization in the practices, procedures, and precedents of the department with a low level of supervision.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for all I-9 related matters for all of JBHT. 
  • Responsible for conducting weekly processing of I-9’s.  Attend weekly new hire orientation sessions to collect, verify and upload I-9 data using Workday, e-Verify, and other programs.
  • Works quickly and professionally to resolve issues that could result in non-compliance, including contact with various departments throughout Corporate and field offices.
  • Works well with a diverse employee population to answer questions and resolve any issues with I-9 documentation.
  • Conducts regular I-9 audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintains and prepares reports.
  • Supports the Immigration Team including preparing and filing packets for J.B. Hunt employees requiring sponsorship.  Packets must be filed in a timely manner and must be accurate.  These filings include but are not limited to: H-1B’s, H4’s and EAD’s along with paperwork needed for the Permanent Residency process.
  • Prepares correspondence for support of applications or travel as needed.
  • Builds and maintains data for accuracy in filings in a database or systems provided.
  • Position requires full time in office attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 6+ months of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 1-2 years’ office experience (preferably in HR, government, legal, or regulatory field)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and analyze information.                 
  • Cross check and validate information for accuracy.                          
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
