About The Job
The Red Hat Public Sector Consulting Services team adding an extremely organized and detail-oriented Project Manager with a Top Secret security clearance in the U.S. In this role, you will typically manage multiple low to medium complexity projects to successful completion, from initiation through delivery and closure. This role requires excellent coordination of cross-functional teams to bring distinct projects to completion both on time and within budget. We'll need you to have experience managing IT and software consulting projects, relying on traditional systems, software development methodologies, and practical experience with agile project management methodologies.
What You Will Do
• Coordinate cross functional team meetings (customer, support, finance, sales, resource management, etc.)
• Initiate, monitor and control, and closeout low to medium complexity projects
• Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks and resolve issues
• Manage a scrum team and lead agile ceremonies
• Develop and effectively present and communicate project collateral
• Coordinate with the Resource Management Office (RMO) to manage project staffing requirements
• Lead communication between the consulting team, the customer, sales, and all other stakeholders
• Support the Operations team in onboarding partners
• Coach and mentor associate project managers
• Maintain exemplar level of professionalism when problem solving and guiding issues to closure
• Develop foundational knowledge and maintain an awareness of emerging Red Hat technologies
• Ability to travel approximately 50% time or as needed
What You Will Bring
• Active Secret security clearance
• Experience with delivering technical consulting engagements using industry specific methodologies to the U.S. Government
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a project delivery team
• Demonstrated ability to meet client need and interface with executive leadership
• Ability to identify stakeholder needs and set expectations regarding project timelines and scope of work
• Experience working collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders
• Knowledge and desire to mentor
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Experience leading successful modern cloud platform consulting engagements and implementing and integrating Red Hat's open hybrid cloud technologies like Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat OpenShift
• Broad and deep experience with project management standards like PMP, CMS, SAFe, or equivalent)
• Practical experience with the software development lifecycle and DevSecOps approaches
• Experience with financial tools like SalesForce and professional services automation platforms
• Able to work with the leadership team to promote the adoption of best practices and processes to improve the velocity and success of consulting engagements
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
