This role is within the Business Unit organization and will be responsible for owning business unit pricing strategy, data, reporting, and analysis capabilities to proactively generate insights that optimize strategic pricing decisions. They will report directly to business unit leadership, but will influence Product Managers, Sales, Connected Services, Marketing, and Finance stakeholders through modeling, and analysis and data-driven recommendations and providing critical insights to drive informed decision making.
Develop and implement pricing models and strategies for hardware products and cloud-enabled services
Analyze market data, trends, and conduct competitive pricing analysis to inform pricing decisions
Work closely with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives. Monitor market conditions and adjust pricing strategies accordingly
Evaluate product and market data (specifications, pricing, revenue, profitability, promotions, competitive landscape) to improve product marketing strategies, and accelerate financial performance of the business
Research, collect, and analyze data on channel partners’ and consumers' behaviors before, during, and after using a product, promotion, or service
Implement approved pricing strategies and adjustments in relevant systems. Ensure pricing policies and procedures are adhered to across the organization
Provide training and support to cross functional teams on pricing tools and strategies. Facilitate clear and transparent communication on pricing strategies and customer focus across teams
Develop, maintain and monitor standardized & custom tools, dashboards, and reports utilizing internal data, partner data, external market data, and business needs to scale Business Unit revenue and profits
Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure proper data architecture and processes are utilized to ingest data; Transform unstructured data with data manipulation processes using Spark/SQL to create structured, scalable solutions
Design meaningful data visualizations that tell a story and provide actionable insights to help our stakeholders make informed decisions
Architect data solutions that can be re-used across multiple reporting tools and within various applications, dashboards and reports to support cross-functional needs. Collaborate with data visualization analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and other developers to design and ensure effective development of new capabilities
Champion data and analytics for the Business Unit and across the organization through active engagement in the Analytics Community of Practice and the network of data and analytics associates across CG
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Finance, Economics, Business, or another related field is required
8+ years of work experience within pricing or financial analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related role leading projects building actionable, data-driven pricing strategies and recommendations
Experience and understanding of pricing dynamics, channel mechanics, competitive landscapes, and consumer behavior in distribution, retail, e-commerce, and direct to consumer channels for a hardware business
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of data management and pricing tools / software in B2B and B2C businesses
Experience with data visualization platforms such as Power BI
Experience with unifying software platforms such as Databricks
Data management experience with SAP ERP
Experience manipulating data and creating complex ETL processes to build logical data schemas/models that support multiple reports or business applications preferred
Ability to deal with ambiguity and make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively lead projects from conception to conclusion, both independently and in a team environment (including working with both internal and external business partners)
Strong SQL skills
Strong understanding of data warehouse/data modeling concepts and procedures
Keen analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to deliver thought-provoking analysis and provide clear, concise recommendations
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Masters degree in related field
Power BI Development and Design-related certification
Experience with IoT, SaaS and/or smart consumer products & services
Experience working with customer-facing digital experiences, including end-to-end customer acquisition and engagement processes within mobile applications or parallel platforms
Experience with Salesforce, SAP, CDP platforms such as Tealium
Experience with Project Management/Tracking tools such as Jira
Experience building and creating web-based data visualization
Experience creating semantic data layers that support organizational self-service analytics within Azure Cloud architecture
Strong understanding of financial concepts and analytics
Working with a software/technology organization
