Provides professional, knowledgeable cash management advice and support to banking partners / stakeholders and their clients to drive the achievement of cash management sales and service objectives and support the delivery of the desired customer experience.

  • Reviews customer pipelines and action plans to provide cash management sales coaching, guidance, and suggestions for improvements that maximize the effectiveness of cash management sales penetration strategies.
  • Addresses escalated issues related to client & relationship management issues.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service that builds trust through expertise, responsive service and support.
  • Develops and maintains long-term, profitable relationships and expands our share of wallet with a portfolio.
  • Leads execution of Bank and third party partners using approved processes that support the delivery of the desired customer experience.
  • Gathers and assesses the competitive and market opportunities to identify strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats relative to cash management.
  • Makes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business / group.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
  • May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.
  • Develops and manages banking relationships and plans for prospective clients.
  • Advises on sales strategy based on a deep understanding of the market, relevant industry verticals, market competitors, client needs, and business growth opportunities.
  • Develops the business case by identifying needs, analysing potential options and assessing expected return on investment.
  • Recommends business priorities, advises on resource requirements and develops roadmap for strategic execution.
  • Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business / group strategy.
  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
  • Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • May network with industry contacts to gain competitive insights and best practices.
  • Develops and manages banking relationships and plans for prospective clients.
  • Acts as the prime subject matter expert for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Defines business requirements for analytics and reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision making.
  • Provides oversight, monitoring, and reporting specific to assigned business group for regulatory remediation.
  • Analyzes financial and related data to determine the client needs of the client for proper structuring of the Bank's products and services that meet client needs.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitors and tracks performance and addresses any issues.
  • Leads change management programs of varying scope and type, including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation, and sustainment of initiatives.
  • Collaborates across BMO to develop communications strategies and ensure consistency of messaging to positively influence or change behaviour.
  • Plans, executes and fulfills cash management product solutions sales and services activities in alignment with standards.
  • Provides product and process knowledge to stakeholders (e.g. product information, pricing, implementation timeframes, requirements, etc.).
  • Identifies risks and takes appropriate actions to mitigate impacts and maintain operational integrity.
  • Stays abreast of client needs, industry trends and best practices, and the regulatory environment as it relates to the products and services provided.
  • Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
  • Implements changes in response to shifting trends.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of cash flow and working capital analysis.
  • Knowledge of cash management products and services – Expert.
  • Knowledge of business investment and lending products – Expert.
  • Knowledge of Personal and Commercial banking products and services - Expert.
  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth / Expert.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth / Expert.
  • Influence skills - In-depth / Expert.
  • Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration - In-depth / Expert.

Salary:

$84,000.00 - $156,000.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
