Job Summary:

The Project Manager is the single point of contact for effectively managing and coordinating critical projects required to support Goodwill's enterprise-wide high visibility and high-impact projects. This position is responsible for all project management activities including planning, budget, scheduling, quality and executing installation efforts. Working in a cross-functional team environment, the Project Manager will support employees as they engage on a project, ensuring accountability and execution of important project milestones. The position will deploy resources on a variety of projects and be responsible for multiple deliverables on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, ensuring successful completion.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will closely work with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Mission Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Vice President of Information Technology as necessary, as a resource for executing on projects. They will use software applications specific to project management and be fluent with the best practices of project management.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Designs, develops, implements and oversees to completion the various projects as directed by Goodwill’s strategic objectives, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provides communications, coordination, expertise, and task reporting before, during, and after project implementation.
  • Develops project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring the feasibility of functional needs.
  • Ensures resource availability and allocation.
  • Develops a detailed project plan to track progress.
  • Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors and other departments involved in the projects.
  • Evaluates and monitors the progress on assigned projects.
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of projects.
  • Customer driven and focused with high work standards.
  • Ability to be resilient and resourceful with time/priority and project management, strong sense of urgency with a positive "can-do" attitude, personal qualities of high integrity, credibility, dependability, and dedication.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Presence at the Supporting Services office and travel to other locations beyond the assigned work location is required.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business or other related area is preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in managing projects, preferable technical related.
  • Strong knowledge of the development, implementation and completion of business projects.
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter who is a team player with excellent time management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Requires excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Must possess versatility, discretion, and good interpersonal skills with ability to work with a variety of diverse people.

Preferred Education / Experience / Knowledge & Skills / Certifications & License

  • Bachelor's degree in business or other related area is preferred.
  • Project Management Certification is preferred.
