The Senior Marketing Manager of Global Marketing Excellence (GME), International is responsible for the development of global brand and marketing creative—overall supporting the development of consumer / DTC and HCP marketing materials globally. Omnipod operates in over 24 countries around the world. This person will report to the Senior Marketing Director, Global Marketing Excellence.

As part of the GME, this Senior Marketing Manager will supervise and lead strategic account management and project management to ensure marketing deliverables are executed on strategy, budget, and time. This will involve close partnership with the internal/external creatives, marketing operations, and marketing managers on key initiatives for the franchise and international teams. They will partner closely with these teams to refine targeting, positioning and ultimately, the creative brief.  They bring success to the team through effective relationship management, and value creation by leveraging the full capability of all creative resources, as well as by constantly looking for ways to help international marketers grow awareness, trial and passion for the Omnipod brand. They work closely with the other product marketing teams (Consumer, Healthcare Provider, Channel, Partners) in delivering and exceeding expectations for creative execution performed by the internal/external creative teams. This person will also work closely with corporate communications, human resources and other functions on Insulet and Omnipod related brand projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with international commercial teams to build the Omnipod brand and develop creative executions that create a positive emotional connection with targets. Constantly look for ways to deepen brand equity and grow the global business.
  • Drive Global Consumer creative effectiveness to increase awareness, interest and action. You will be responsible for creative timelines and associated tasks for work assigned to the Omnipod creative team for a variety of campaigns and launch deliverables. You will manage expectations, objectives, timelines and – negotiate dates and scopes of work as needed.
  • Closely collaborate with various team members across Omnipod Global Marketing teams, external agencies, and third-party vendors to execute work.
  • You will assess and streamline creative project workflows, ensuring that each step of the process, from initiation to final execution, is efficient and effective. This involves optimizing internal resource allocation, reducing bottlenecks, and eliminating unnecessary steps to expedite delivery.
  • You will collaborate closely with the rest of the GME team to plan and forecast budgetary requirements to optimize resource allocation for creative projects
  • Consult with international franchise and international downstream marketing teams on targeting, insights, and positioning where appropriate.
  • Work with global cross functional downstream marketers and franchise product marketing managers to develop quality creative briefs and lead creative development with creative agency
  • Use the analysis on how the brand is positioned in the market to create creative campaigns based on customer and consumer insights in collaboration with the international downstream marketing team
  • Championing the brand internally and externally making sure all elements of the company and key stakeholders understand the brand and its goals
  • Drive Brand Consistency-- Develop strategy/creative briefs to lead the advertising agency and development of new advertising campaign(s)
  • Develop new processes to support international marketing organization and translate US marketing successes for global consumption
  • Be the center of excellence for all global marketers bringing new ideas to the table, monitoring the competition and helping to advise on best practices.
  • Performs other duties as required

Preferred Skills and Competencies:       

  • Relevant experience in a global consumer marketing-driven organization; MBA a positive, but not required
  • Desire to make a significant impact on the lives of those with diabetes, their families and friends
  • Experience in marketing a consumer and/or RX product and managing large media budgets highly preferred
  • Experience with diabetes and medical device and / or healthcare experience / HIPPA regulated products ideal, but not required
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to successfully collaborate across all levels and disciplines
  • Accomplished marketing strategist with deep understanding for targeting, positioning, and translating into creative ideas and marketing plans that drive customer acquisition and improve retention, including translating it into the digital space
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret data to make recommendations: comfortable thinking and talking about analytical questions
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for pushing creative boundaries while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, consumer insights, and cultural nuances to create impactful and relevant designs.
  • Strong project management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate and present creative concepts to stakeholders.
  • Leverage highly effective written and verbal communication skills with peers and leadership; help represent the Marketing organization to internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership
  • Intellectual curiosity, including the willingness to dig in and learn more about things
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work on multiple priorities and willingness to have some fun along the way!

Physical Requirements (if applicable):         

  • Within Insulet, the GME is a newer organization, and we are growing to meet the needs of our global colleagues. This is roles is to support the international team based out of London. As such, the working hours for this role are expected to be flexible and one that can support a certain amount of working time with the US based team. The expectation is that for certain days, this person would be available start later in day to support being available for calls until later in the evening local time ~ 8pm. Schedule to be determined in partnership with the hiring manager.
  • Ability to travel to Acton, Massachusetts as needed/minimum 4x per year
  • Expectation to be in the London office 6-10x per year or as needed/when the marketing teams come in.
  • Ability to attend project related production needs and conferences and diabetes related events.
