Site Reliability Engineer (Automation Focused)
We're looking for a motivated and skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team, focusing on building and maintaining robust automation to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and scalability. This role is central to eliminating toil and ensuring the continuous, smooth operation of our critical services through engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools using languages like Python, Go, or Shell scripting to automate repetitive tasks, system deployments, and operational workflows.
Monitoring & Observability: Implement and manage Splunk (or similar monitoring tools) for comprehensive logging, metric collection, dashboard creation, and proactive alerting to ensure service health and performance.
CI/CD Pipeline Management: Manage and optimize Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins to automate the build, test, and deployment process.
Robotic Process Automation (RPA): Implement and support RPA bots for automating business and IT processes, focusing on stability, security, and scalability.
Incident Response & Toil Reduction: Participate in incident response and root cause analysis (RCA). Systematically identify and engineer away toil, contributing to a culture of prevention over reaction.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize IaC principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to manage and provision infrastructure in an automated and repeatable manner.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience in an SRE, DevOps, or highly-related role with a strong emphasis on automation.
Scripting Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python preferred).
Tooling Expertise: Hands-on experience with:
CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
Monitoring: Splunk, Prometheus, ELK stack, or similar.
Automation: RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) and general IT automation frameworks.
System Knowledge: Deep understanding of operating systems (Linux/Windows), networking, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to operational challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
Knowledge of database technologies and SQL.
Candidate should have knowledge on Agentic AI.
