Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Quality Manager – RQSO FAA Liaison (Level L) to support the Regulatory and Quality System Oversight (RQSO) in Seattle, WA or North Charleston, SC.

The successful candidate will ensure Boeing responsiveness to FAA in support of FAA’s PC700 oversight responsibilities, as well as government inquiries regarding Boeing and its Supply Chain operations. In this role, you will manage the Boeing South Carolina & Supplier Quality Regulatory Affairs, FAA Liaison teams who are responsible for portfolio managing Boeing responses to FAA PC700 compliance letters and inquiries; analyzing data streams for voluntary disclosures; as well as supporting FAA audits across the globe.

Position Responsibilities

  • Leads managers and employees performing activities across multiple skill sets and locations.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develop organizational and technical strategies for QMS and FAA Liaison Organization.
  • Acts as the primary liaison for communication between BCA and Regulatory Agencies to ensure proper administration and maintenance of PC700 and the FAA System Oversight.
  • Coordination with the FAA for all formal Correspondence including: Letters of Investigation (LOI), Voluntary Disclosures (VDR), Formal Compliance Action (FCA), Request for Information (RFI) and any enforcement action.
  • Inform affected organization of all pending FAA audit activity (QSA. PI, SCA etc.) and any issues, concerns and findings of the audits
  • Formal interpretation of Boeing Policies and Procedures and interpretation of the regulatory agency materials.
  • Formal communications between regulatory agencies and Boeing regarding Program issues that cross multiple segments to production operations and possible safety concerns

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 5+ years' experience in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, regulatory agencies and internal/external stakeholders.
  • 5+ years' experience in a leadership role leading diverse teams on QMS initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a production environment
  • 3+ years of experience using Systematic Problem Solving.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with Federal Aviation Administration.
  • Proficiency with Boeing Production Systems (CMES, OnePPPM, etc.).
  • Ability to navigate and interpret production drawings, engineering specifications, and work instructions.
