What will you do?
Lead financial reporting activities related to the project spendings,
Prepare journal entries (accruals mainly) to the general ledger,
Perform analysis/ analytical review of Profit and Loss accounts and balance sheet, cost centre checks and transaction posting checks in relation to the project,
Collaborate with stakeholders and other functions (e.g. project leads, AMEX team, P2P, O2C, Stat & Tax) to ensure correct reflection of the project spendings in general ledger,
Comply with GSK control framework and GSK finance guide,
Monitor and track progress of projects including preparation of financial analysis of the project status.
What will you learn?
Obtain high level overview of working in finance department of a multinational organization
Learn about different systems and processes used in financial department of large multinational organization
Obtain initial knowledge on data analysis and data driven decision-making
Get acquainted with accounting standards and their applicability in Pharma context
Obtain high level understanding of financial reporting, internal controls and risk management
What are we looking for?
Business Skills and Competencies
Educational background – studying Finance/Accounting/Business Administration/Economics related degree (undergraduates with one year or less remaining to graduation when starting role).
Aware of accounting and financial reporting standards
Must be fluent in English – both written and spoken
Proficient in use of IT and software/systems (excel, outlook), ideally document management and database systems.
Behavioural Skills and Competencies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently as well as part of a culturally-diverse team.
Pro-active, self-motivated and displaying initiative in solving problems
Pro-active in seeking to improve processes making them more effective and efficient
Attention to detail, good analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Deadline-driven, flexible with self-reliance to work in an empowered environment.
