Actuaries can work in their area of interest, ranging from positions as financial actuaries to pricing actuaries to actuaries interested in general management. Our Actuarial Development Committee offers challenges to expedite your growth in our Internship Program. This program provides you with diverse work experience to work alongside some of the top people in our company. Apart from work, we encourage prospective fellows to undergo continuous professional development. Our Actuarial Development Committee continually reviews and addresses the career development needs of our interns.

Experience:

• Collaborate with various departments to support product pricing, conduct experience studies,analyze business strategies, and prepare special quotations for life and health businesses
• Hands-on traditional actuarial valuation experiences under the ever-evolving financial reportingrequirements
• Support actuarial oversight functions in the regional office, providing high-quality analyses onbusiness performance to senior management
• Assist the actuarial team of HK’s retirement business in pricing new and existing pensionbusinesses, providing high quality financial reports to management teams
• Support risk management functions, deploying risk controls and highlighting key risks to seniormanagement

What we are looking for

• Undergraduate majoring in actuarial science, mathematics, statistic or risk management
• A self-starter, outgoing, adaptive and eager to learn
• Good academic results
• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge in statistical software or programming language is an advantage
• Fluent in written and spoken English
