Internship – Australia Institutional Relationship Management, Client Service and Marketing

This internship experience provides participant with a meaningful, relevant work experience as part of his/her academic studies. In addition to daily responsibilities, the intern will have the opportunity to participate in a series of structured activities designed to enhance his/her learning experience including:

At the conclusion of this position, the intern will have increased his/her knowledge of investing, the mutual fund industry, employee engagement, and a firm understanding of how finance works at an asset manager.

The MFS Summer Internship program is a 10-12-week program, starting December 2024 through February 2025. The student will work full-time, Monday through Friday, 35 per week and are paid hourly. Applicant must be authorized to work in the Australia and must be current student (graduating 2025).

Job Summary:

Using discretion and judgment provides assistance to Relationship Management, Client Service and Marketing teams.  Following established procedures, the Intern performs a variety of administrative duties, which may be complex in nature.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Establishes, maintains and enhances administrative policies, projects and procedures pertinent to the division.

  • Interacts with MFSIA teams, Client Service teams, Marketing teams and MFSI Relationship Managers.

Relationship Management (RM) and Client Service

  • Provides Relationship Management and Client Service with office administration services (such as binding presentation materials, updating of databases and ordering supplies)
  • Assists RM and Sales Associate with the scheduling and arranging onsite client meetings (presentation materials, refreshments, conference rooms)
  • Attends Relationship Management and Sales Strategy team meetings
  • Assists in market research on the asset management industry and trends
  • Assists in internal projects for the department as needed]
  • Perform a variety of specialized duties, which may be complex or confidential in nature, to assist teams and ensure smooth efficient operations

Marketing

  • Support program tracking and reporting capabilities through workfront, cloud-based project management application
  • Assists in daily administration and support of the operations marketing team including supporting project deliverables, reviewing project documents, gathering updates from stakeholders and creating associated reporting
  • Support day-to-day activities of the team
