Job Summary

Responsible for formulating and defining systems and objectives through research and analysis of functional/business needs of applicable operational support systems. Retrieves, analyzes, and summarizes business, operations, employee, customer, and/or economic data to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness, predict business outcomes and decision-making purposes. Involved with numerous key business decisions by conducting the analyses that inform our TPX Connect business strategy. Participates in project planning, software testing and deployments, and operational reviews.  Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex business and system problems. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation, as necessary. Works with Product and Software Developers to support and align design and development against business outcomes.  

  • Performs analysis of user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
  • Communicates findings clearly and concisely through narrative-driven presentations and effective data visualizations to Company executives and decisionmakers.
  • Promotes and evangelizes a culture of excellence, data driven discussions, healthy skepticism, intellectual curiosity, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
  • Stays current with emerging trends in analytics, statistics, and machine learning and applies them to business challenges.
  • Identifies and assesses probable interactions of related systems and predicts impact of a change in assigned system.
  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of user and system interactions to reduce operational impacts and improve overall success of achieving desired business outcome.  
  • Functions as a liaison between the client, community, and internal Software Engineers to develop system solutions to operational problems.  
  • Ensures data quality and integrity across data-specific application implementations.
