Position Summary...
What you'll do...
Develops, maintains, and enhances Walmart’s internal GIS infrastructure, data, and product templates and frameworks to support multiple business functions with an emphasis on security, risk, and safety.
Collaborates with internal business partners to understand needs and translate them into actionable GIS solutions.
Standardizes GIS products for event types (for replication and efficiency) and builds ad hoc products to support special requests.
Maintains high standards for data quality and integrity within the GIS systems and data sources.
Develops and documents processes for efficient GIS data acquisition, analysis, and dissemination.
Creates clear, concise, and compelling visualizations (for example, map layers and products, story maps, dashboards, other geospatial products) to communicate insights to stakeholders.
Utilizes spatial data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for prevention, mitigation, response, investigation, and recovery optimization.
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
