This role falls within the Performance Marketing Strategy & Operations team and will work directly with performance marketing activation partners to drive value for The Walt Disney Studios. 

 

Job Responsibilities:   

For the current position, the Performance Marketing team is looking to add a senior analyst to a performance marketing pod with a background in performance marketing strategy and operations to ensure that, over the short-run and long-run, performance marketing activation is aligned with overall marketing objectives.   

 

  • Working directly under and with a Senior Team Lead to build and implement performance marketing strategy for a select number of theatrical and streaming titles including operations, optimizations, audiences, pacing, and bids across Disney Entertainment Studio Content Marketing campaigns  

  • Manage, build and implement holistic, omni-platform audience data strategy - inclusive of first-party, second-party, and third-party data 

  • Manage, build and implement auction bid, pacing, and optimization strategies to improve media performance 

  • Proactively identify and interpret key media performance drivers, and deliver insights to optimize spend and performance of media as aligned with business goals 

  • Manage ad buying platforms including Google Campaign Manager 360, Search Ads 360, Google DV360, The Trade Desk, etc – as well as interface with internal and external sales and ad operations teams associated with each 

  • Interfacing, communicating, and partnering effectively with the sales and support teams of ad buying platforms such as Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Google Ads, Google Campaign Manager 360, Search Ads 360, Google DV360, and The Trade Desk 

  • Implement ongoing, rigorous test and learn cadence to benchmark and improve performance marketing in partnership with Marketing Science and Marketing Analytics to benchmark the performance of current strategies and tactics or to explore and prove out new approaches and opportunities 

  • Interpret, analyze and share analyses and learnings from titles, data testing and performance marketing campaigns in partnership with Marketing Science and Media Agency Analytics teams  

  • Working cross-functionally with multiple internal media and marketing teams as well as our external media agency to continuously improve and achieve success across all marketing efforts 

  • Participating as a member of a cohesive and collaborative, cross-functional Performance Marketing team  

  • Maintain day-to-day communication with the media agency performance marketing activation teams in order to ensure proper implementation of performance marketing campaign 

  • Support internal teams when necessary with ad hoc projects   

  • Maintaining and sharing knowledge of media technology, buying platforms and analytics tools with pod members and other relevant business stakeholders

Required/Basic Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

  • 7+ years in Advertising Media (primarily Digital Media), Media Analytics or Social/Programmatic Auction Buying  

  • Experience with ad platforms including DMPs, Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Innovid, LiveRamp and DSPs (Google DV360, Trade Desk, Verizon Media Group) 

  • Strong analytical skills 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • Self-driven, accountable, well-organized, detailed-oriented individual 

  • Understanding of ad technology ecosystem 

  • Proficiency with Excel 

  • Passion for entertainment and The Walt Disney Studios brands  

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively that meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment 

  • Knowledge of digital ad serving, tracking and implementation  

  • Ability to work on-site in Burbank, in a hybrid capacity 

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience using SQL 

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau  

  • Experience working with cross functional teams to translate business needs into data requirements 

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA $124,000 to $166,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
