Due to extensive growth, Rite-Hite has an opening for a Workday Specialist at our new headquarters in Milwaukee’s Fifth Ward.  The position is responsible for the configuration and maintenance of the core Workday areas which include Recruiting, HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, Reporting, and Security. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

System configuration, updating and enhancing business processes by partnering with HRIS team to help to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements while ensuring data quality.

Develop and support Workday system functionality which includes design, configuration, testing and implementation of Workday Releases and standard upgrades.

Serve as the systems and process expert for implementations; lead projects around upgrades and configuration changes to align with business needs.

Acts as liaison with HRIS Analysts to provide support for technology and reporting for COE’s.

Troubleshoot issues through resolution with deep knowledge of current functionality, touchpoints with HCM, Compensation, Time, Absence, Recruiting, Talent & Performance.

Maintain awareness of current trends in HR technology and understand statutory and regulatory requirements affecting HR, Benefits, Recruitment and Payroll systems.

Stay informed about Workday updates, enhancements, and best practices related to Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence Management modules. Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance system capabilities, and improve user experience.

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate system configurations, integrations, and customizations. Conduct end-to-end testing of payroll processes, Integrations, time entry workflows, and absence scenarios to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Maintain current knowledge of privacy laws such as HIPAA and GDPR and ensure data is protected.  

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

4-year degree in Systems Administration or Human Resources.

5 years of demonstrated work experience in a comparable position administering or managing HRIS systems.

Strong understanding of HR processes and practices, security, data integrity, and system configuration and design.

An inclusive and growth-oriented mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to work across differences.

Solid written communication skills and documentation experience is required.

Must understand and be able to effectively use Excel, and other data management tools.

Must be comfortable handling multiple assignments while meeting customer needs.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Advanced experience in Workday HRIS System, especially core functions.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and critical thinking skills/problem-solving skills.

•  Excellent communication skills (oral and written). The ability to successfully communicate and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders (executive leadership, managers, diverse employee groups) is critical.

• The ability to champion change management throughout the organization.  

• The ability to plan, organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

• High degree of flexibility for changing priorities, standards, and project demands.

• Ability to work with diverse groups of employees throughout the organization (Sales, service, manufacturing, corporate).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will not have any direct reports.
