As Head of Product, you will own the product roadmaps and user experience for all products developed by Betway. You will be responsible for formulating and delivering the medium and long-term product vision in line with commercial strategy set by executive management. You will be responsible for collecting and generating new product ideas and introducing enhancements to the existing products. You will understand the strategy, needs and problems facing the business as well as the external market / competition and work to continuously improve our products in order to extract maximum business value. You will be responsible for designing and experimenting with the design and journeys of our products.

You will lead and manage a team of Product Managers and Product Owners and UI/UX designers. This includes the resource planning of your team, guidance of product strategy and scope, Epic/Story/Roadmap review and escalation handling. You will be a member of the technology management team, working closely with the Heads of Software Engineering, QA, IT, Project Management and the Technology Director to build and execute the Technology Strategy and Target Architecture.

What you’ll be doing

  • Complete responsibility for the CRM, Retention Promotions and onboarding journey product vision, strategy and roadmaps as well as full end to end of non Betway brand Casino products.
  • Create buy in for product vision and strategy both internally and with key external partners.
  • Take overall responsibility for the success / performance of the products by setting, monitoring and continuously improving key Product KPIs.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience in order to identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Regularly conduct and publish market intelligence and competitive analysis on the products’ position in the market, identifying areas of opportunity, change and improvement.
  • Conduct gap analysis between feature requirements and existing application functionality.
  • Use product data / analytics, user feedback and user experience understanding, market and competition analysis and stakeholder input to:
  • Create and maintain a top-level prioritised roadmap of company initiatives.
  • Lead the Product Managers and Product Owners in breaking down this down into product roadmaps.
  • Lead the UI/UX Designers in understanding customer interactions and designing and experimenting with the way designs.
  • Ensure prioritization of product enhancements and initiatives is accurate and always in line with business value.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, UI/UX Designers, stakeholders, Software Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers and Business Analysts to plan and develop product enhancements.
  • Manage and review suppliers and product teams to ensure all integration and dependencies are planned and delivery timelines agreed to.
  • Communicate functionality changes to support, training and marketing teams.
  • Demonstrate product enhancements to business stakeholders.
  • Management, leadership and mentorship of Product Managers, Product Owners, UI/UX Designers.
  • Team resource planning and training.

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some the following skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
  • Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
  • Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
  • MS/BS degree (Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred)
  • Proven work experience in UI/UX designing and experimentation.
