Position Overview

The opportunity is within the Fund Controller team that supports the self administered opportunistic funds across European Principal Finance as well as new products launching in 2024. This is a varied role and key to the successful support of the Finance team to the Business. The person should be enthusiastic, hard working and willing to take on a challenge.

This role involves working closely with several departments within Apollo including investment and portfolio management team, valuation and pricing, legal, tax and marketing to ensure the preparation of accurate and timely information. The role sits within the Finance team which is co-located with the EPF investment team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monthly and quarterly reporting (working with the extended Finance team in Nesco, Mumbai, India)

  • Maintenance and review of full accounting records on Apollo systems, Investran, including supporting the deal closing and realization activity to be able to record the deal activity

  • Prepare and review payment files

  • Manage Interaction with Subscription Line lenders and maintain loan records

  • Review, allocation and approval of invoices and expenses

  • Responding to Investor queries

  • Maintenance of information in the investor and fund performance portal

  • Calculation of management fees

  • Fund budgeting and expense analysis

  • Liaison with external auditors with regards to statutory fund audits

  • Working with Apollo colleagues across New York, India, Luxembourg and London

  • Ad Hoc Projects

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant Fund accounting experience

  • Qualified or part-qualified Accountant

  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Highly skilled with Excel

  • Individual must be diligent and work well in a team environment

  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines

  • Demonstrate ability in taking initiative

  • A forward thinking, creative individual with high ethical standards
